About Steering Committee

The key to a successful program is a strong steering committee. The steering committee, which will consist of three officers, will provide expertise, guidance and decisions regarding all aspects of the strategic direction and implementation of Vision FW and will work closely with the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce to achieve its goals.

Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 4:30 pm at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.

Officer Appointments & Terms

Officer positions available to second-year committee members are Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. Both are appointed by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  The term limit for the Chairperson is two years.  The outgoing Chairperson may also serve on the steering committee as Past-Chairperson indefinitely.  All terms begin April 1 and ending March 31.

Each position on the Steering Committee, with the exception of Chairperson and Vice-chairperson, has a two-year term.

About Sub-Committees

The Steering Committee shall establish sub-committees as may be necessary to meet the objectives of the organization.

  • Event Planning Sub-Committee will help assist the Director of Vision FW in developing, planning and overseeing programs and events. Program and events may range from activities promoting the group to more frequent social gatherings. A blend of professional development and social networking gatherings should be planned to accommodate the broad interests of the general membership and support the overall mission of Vision FW.
  • Community Action Subcommittee will work to foster a connection between YPs and non-profits in the area, giving members the opportunity to give back. They will develop, plan and oversee various service projects that enhance the community and will highlight volunteer opportunities for YPs throughout Fort Worth.
  • Communication Sub-Committee will develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for Vision FW. Committee members will assist with maintaining a clear brand identity, web site development and content, and program/event marketing in cooperation with the chamber of commerce.  This committee will continue to develop the lines of communication between Vision FW and its members.
  • Membership Sub-Committee will assist with the primary development of strategies to attract and retain Vision FW members and corporate sponsors. Committee members will define and implement membership benefits, recruit individuals and companies for organizational support and growth, and execute programs to maximize corporate involvement.
